Started in 1989 by Scott Eichelberger, incorporated in 1993 and awarded a General Contractors License by the State of Alabama in 1994, Modern Quality Construction was founded with the idea that the customer should receive the finest service with the most current techniques and the quality of days gone by. Hence the name – MODERN QUALITY CONSTRUCTION. Today, Modern Quality Construction is a licensed General Contractor in Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
Since its inception, the company has worked hard to become the best General Contractor available. With a mix of exterior residential and commercial projects we were able to build our assets with the goal of being issued a State of Alabama General Contractors License. Upon the award of the license in 1994 we were able to concentrate on commercial construction specializing in interior tenant improvements at existing office buildings, retail spaces, and ground up metal building construction for companies such as The Barber Company, Samco Properties, SouthPace Management, Unifirst Corporation, and Barber Vintage MotorSports. We do from ground up construction to “Turn Key” projects and everything in between. In 1997 we secured several metal building manufacturers to provide us buildings to offer our customers an option to conventional construction buildings.
With the experience gained dealing with property owners, property managers, and the deadlines involved, we decided to concentrate our efforts on the “repeat customer.” To do this, we learned that our customers needed someone who could do the little jobs and the big jobs, and be “on time.” We pride ourselves with our excellent “on time” percentage and that we can do the $100.00 jobs as well as the $100,000.00 jobs to relieve the headaches of the property managers. You will see in our Job List that most of our jobs are for the same clients over and over again. We keep in house an excellent staff of people who can handle any situation including several qualified job superintendents, on staff electricians, carpenters and employees well versed in concrete, masonry, cabinetry, framing, drywall, ceilings, painting, wall coverings, etc.
